I’ve had a slow, but exciting start to the year! I tend to throw lots of pieces, and then let them sit on my shelf until I feel the inspiration to glaze them. (Goal one day – have my own kiln to fire stuff in whenever I desire!)
Since I’ll be teaching the handbuilding class at the YMCA again this winter/spring, I’m looking to work on some fun new projects to teach my students!
I’m also in the process of applying to a few spring shows (exciting)! Last year I feel like I developed a little bit of a theme and style that I want to continue with for a while, now the goal is to focus on specific types of pieces to expand my portfolio.
Here are a few of the things I’ve been working on – soon to be glazed so I can share the final result with everyone! Opening a kiln is just like opening a big ol’ gift every time.
