The item you get asked about all the time, but don't make. Here's my first spooky yarn bowl. It has a wider base, though may need to be heavier, and I'm not sure about the yarn hole and size, but dang I wanted to make one in a skull shape! Knitters and crochet folks, let me know what you think, and what you look for in a bowl!
Edited to add: I've tried these before and would cut a spiral design for the yarn to guide through. I probably dried pieces too fast, the spirals were so fragile and always seemed to warp. Which is also why I wanted to try this skull shape.

SHOW UPDATE: the Floyd show for the first weekend of Oct has been cancelled. What this means is that I'll have more stuff up for my Etsy update (halloween and the usual stuff), and more Halloween stuff will be dropped off @beardancemarket in early Oct. I have a few other custom orders I can finally fire, though I feel so bad for the delay. Its hard when you're working in a community studio, even tougher when equipment goes out of order. I'll be thanking people a thousand times for their patience 🙏

Hello!! I just wanted to take a moment and introduce myself a little as its been a while. Most of you know me as the account Odd Fox Pottery, others by Stephanie/Steph, or even, "the woman with the pink hair".

I'm a self taught potter who has been making pots for about 6 years now. I'm more of a hobbyist I suppose, since making pots isn't my full time gig. I mostly work off of the porch at my home and then fire and glaze my work in a studio space at the local YMCA, where I also teach handbuilding classes from time to time. I miss classes!

Outside of making pots, I am working on my PhD in Forestry (technically), but all of my academic research is on soil. (Can we say, more clay?!) I do so much digging... but there's lots of beauty underfoot, let me tell yah. I have a wonderful husband who helps keep me sane and is especially awesome when he helps me out at shows. I also have some of the cutest dogs ever... pictured here: Riker (cardigan corgi on left), River (pembroke corgi on right), not pictured is my best old lady, Lexa.

Some (but not all) of the plate details for a recent custom order. I've found that when I'm making plates I'm never asked for a set of the "same". Usually I'm given a color pallette, in this case, a mix of green, blue, yellow, and brown and asked to make a bunch of random designs. This one was extra challenging since I don't use those colors all too often in my normal work, sooo I made a bunch extra to see which came out the best 😄 off they are to their new home to be loved!
